Sparty parties first popped their heads above the water in 1994 when a local group of promoters decided they wanted to mesh together two of their great loves: the ancient bath culture in Budapest and electronic dance music.
The venue that would end up hosting the party could not be more legendary. Széchenyi is one of the grand dames of the Budapest spa scene. It opened its doors in 1913 and is still one of the largest spa baths in Europe, with 15 indoor baths and 3 opulent outdoor pools.
Parties take place year-round, apart from during December. Expect laser beams, music, drinks and plenty of good, clean fun.
