Ibiza is the party island of clubbing legend. Pacha nightclub landed here in 1973 and Manumission defined the European dance music scene of the 1990s. Many party animals still laud this gorgeous Balearic island as the world’s electronic music capital thanks to its wild all-night parties, but today Ibiza’s daytime club scene is also hot hot hot.

Spend the night losing yourself to world-class DJs, and the afternoons stretched out on a daybed, sipping cocktails poolside and shimmying and sunbathing to hangover-soothing beats. Here’s where to party while the sun’s out.

Nikki Beach

Enjoy chilled bottles of rosé and zesty mojitos while lazing on one of the pristine-white day beds that surround the sparkling pool at Nikki Beach. The chilled-out party vibe kicks off mid-morning, with live saxophonists accompanying DJs throughout the day. Order a colourful sushi platter and settle in for some fun.

O Beach

Club days at O Beach offer sun, drinks and plenty of theat

This glossy and glamorous poolside party spot is a lynchpin of the daylife scene. Situated on the knockout S’Arenal waterfront, it’s famous for hosting proper no-nonsense residencies from Balearic titans Hedkandi and Kisstory. Friday’s wanderlust-themed shindig is their flagship night, featuring global beats and bedazzled carnival dancers. It’s well worth dipping into.

Blue Marlin

Don your biggest shades and your most garish trunks for a day at Blue Marlin, a day-to-night beach club that pulls in some of the world’s biggest DJs. It’s located on the sparkly shores of Cala Jondal and has music pumping morning until night – the perfect all-dayer.

FERGUS Style Bahamas

FERGUS Style Bahamas is an adults-only resort that’s thankfully not in the Caribbean, but just a hop away from Playa d’en Bossa’s wild nightlife strip. Not that you’ll need to venture outside to have fun. Dancing in, around and while jumping into the pool is strongly encouraged.

Cotton Supper Club

Dinners at Cotton Supper Club come with views and DJs

Forget, for a moment, the foam parties and flaming sambucas, Ibiza’s food scene is also popping up and popping off. Norwegian duo Christian and Merete Marstrander have been serving celebrated sushi at their exclusive supper clubs since 2014. Latest venture Cotton Supper Club is private-dining only, serving fusion dishes in front of rangy sea views. For €250 a head (minimum eight people), you and your chums can chow down with a DJ (€450), open bar (from €60pp) and more.
