Stop 1: Le Grand Plage

Lay out your towel next to the coiffed and bejewelled sunbathers on the banana-shaped Le Grand Plage. This is the city’s most central beach, and a great place for sunbathing, swimming and prime people watching.
Stop 2: Eden Rock Cafe
Let’s face it – there’s not much that beats a glass of wine or chilled beer on a sunny terrace. At Eden Rock Cafe you’ll get all that – plus brag-worthy sea views. Get there early to bag your spot.
Stop 3: Plage de la Cote des Basques

Forget what you think you know about surfers, in a glitzy city like Biarritz, they come in all styles. Head to Plage de la Cote des Basques in the south of Biarritz to watch them – it’s long, a little wild and is the place where Euro-surfing began in 1957.
Stop 4: Chez Albert
Seafood lovers listen up – this harbourside restaurant serves some of the best in town, with freshly-caught fish making up most of the menu. Reserve ahead to make sure you get in, or have a drink elsewhere and saunter past around 9.30pm for the chance of an impromptu table.
Stop 5: Rocher de la Vierge

At the end of Pointe Atalaye you’ll see a footbridge which extends all the way out to sea to Rocher de la Vierge – a huge rock crowned with the statue of the Virgin and Child. Look left for views of the Spanish Basque Country.
