Le Panapé de Caméla
This cute little store near the University of Geneva is where you go for the person who has everything. All the items on sale here are a little bit out-of-the-ordinary and will bring a smile to your face. A tiny martini-glass brooch? Yep. Old bottles recycled as vases? Of course. Papier mâché animal masks? Why not! You can be sure that your giftee won’t have anything like it.

Archipel
Buying beauty products for someone else can be a bit tricky, but it’s well worth checking out this perfectly formed boutique near the waterfront. Just stepping foot into the stylish interior (think mid-century modern shelving units and pink tiling) is a lovely experience, but it’s the selection of hand-picked products made from at least 95% natural and ethically-sourced ingredients that’s the real joy.

La 5e
Walking into this homeware and antiques shop is like strolling into a cabinet of curiosities. It’s easy to get overwhelmed by all the beautiful kimonos, pinned butterflies, felt vegetables and unusual jewellery, but take your time and you’ll find the right prezzie. We’ve got our eyes on the millennial-pink marbled plates and matching bowls.

Quality clothes for kiddies at Nath&Jul
Three years ago, young mum Nathalia opened an online shop selling cute things for kids, which grew into this lovely boutique in the centre of Geneva. It still stocks plenty of adorable children’s clothes and accessories – tiny corduroy trousers, patterned socks and an apron covered in llamas – but the shop has also branched out into fun greeting cards, notebooks and cosmetics too.

Capricieuse
This shop mixes pretty design, vintage trinkets and fun gadgets. Bag some cool place mats for your mother-in-law, a vintage tea set for your sister or a pocket-sized Bluetooth speaker for the tech fan in your life. With so many quirky things lining the shelves, it’s a hard task to leave Capricieuse without buying yourself a present or two as well. Self-care is important though, right?
